STATE VOICES WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2004 FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING ENGAGEMENT BY INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVING GRANT FUNDS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN AND RETURN A GRANT AGREEMENT STATING THE PERMISSIBLE AND PROHIBITED USE OF THE FUNDS. GRANTEES MUST PROVIDE THEIR INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE DETERMINATION LETTER CONFIRMING THEIR STATUS AS AN IRC SECTION 501(C)(3). AT THE CLOSE OF THE GRANT PERIOD GRANTEES ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A REPORT THAT CERTIFIES THAT ALL FUNDS WERE USED FOR 501(C)(3) ACTIVITIES AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND DESCRIBES ALL OUTCOMES RELATED TO THE GRANT.
