Mission Statement

TO STABILIZE THE HISTORICAL GARDEN OF VALCOUR AIME LOCATED IN ST. JAMES PARISH, LOUISIANA AS A RUIN RATHER THAN AS A RESTORATION, IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THE LANDSCAPE FOR POSTERITY. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO PROVIDE OR PERMIT GUIDED VISITS TO THE GARDEN TO MAXIMIZE THE EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL OF THE GARDEN SO THAT THE PUBLIC HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE EARLY LOUISIANAN VALCOUR AIME, HIS GARDEN AND THE TIME AND PLACE IN WHICH HE LIVED.
