Mission Statement

The societys mission is to foster the preservation and interpretation of cultural and historical matters pertaining to the settlement of Jews in the United States (and in particular, the family of Lazarus and Sara Straus) and to educate a diverse public about their historical significance to the world and to the history of the United States.
