SUMMIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS (SPS) IS A NONPROFIT, CALIFORNIA PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION, DESIGNED TO TRAIN, CONSULT AND ADVISE PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS; TO SUPPORT, MANAGE, OPERATE, GUIDE, DIRECT AND PROMOTE PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS (THE SCHOOLS); AND FOR OTHER CHARITABLE EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AS MAY OCCUR FROM TIME TO TIME. SPS IS ECONOMICALLY DEPENDENT ON STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDING.
