PART III - WHAT IS THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE? INTRODUCTION THE SUNSHINE STATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FOR HIGH SCHOOLS, INC. ("SSAC") IS AN ASSOCIATION OF SMALL LIKE-MINDED CHARTER, PRIVATE AND PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS, WHICH CURRENTLY HAS APPROXIMATELY ONE HUNDRED TEN (110) MEMBER SCHOOLS, WHICH PROMOTES AND IS DEDICATED TO DIRECT INTERSCHOLASTIC HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION FOR ITS MEMBER SCHOOLS. THESE SMALL LIKE-MINDED MEMBER SCHOOLS PROMOTE THE CONCEPT OF THE STUDENT- ATHLETE WHERE BOTH ATHLETIC AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE ARE EMPHASIZED. THESE VERY SMALL SSAC MEMBER SCHOOLS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE LARGE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOLS, WHERE THE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCES OF SOME OF THE PREMIER HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES IN FLORIDA ACHIEVE GREAT NOTORIETY AND PROMOTION BY THE FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (THE "FHSAA"). THE FHSAA IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY BODY RECOGNIZED BY THE FLORIDA HOUSE AND SENATE FOR DIRECTING AND CONTROLLING INTERSCHOLASTIC HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS. THE SSAC
