Mission Statement

The principal purpose of the Organization are as follows: to educate the public regarding the historical and current roles which working and sporting animals play in people's lives and the purposes which working and sporting animals serve; to legally defend as necessary the rights of persons to own, use, and breed sporting and working animals in an ethical, humane way and also according to the purpose for which the animal was bred and raised; to foster and encourage the rights of persons to own and use working or sporting animals in diverse fields such as agriculture, hunting, entertainment, sports, or as service animals and/or pets; to encourage and cultivate a spirit of cooperation among all groups which recognize and support the importance of working and sporting animals. Support Working Animals is an all-volunteer organization whose volunteers are passionate about participating in activities throughout the US which promote the ownership, adoption, and breeding of working animals.
