TENNESSEE VOICES FOR CHILDREN, INC. (TNV) IS A STATEWIDE AND NATIONAL SOURCE OF REFERRAL, SUPPORT, AND ADVOCACY FOR FAMILIES AND THE SYSTEMS THAT SERVE THEM. OUR MISSION IS TO BE THE COLLABORATIVE LEADER GUIDING MENTAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION. OUR VISION IS TO BUILD HOPE FOR ALL GENERATIONS. TNV TAKES AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF FAMILY-FRIENDLY POLICIES AND ENCOURAGES AND SUPPORTS FAMILY INVOLVEMENT ON ADVISORY BOARDS SUCH AS THE STATEWIDE MENTAL HEALTH PLANNING COUNCIL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS, ADVISORY COUNCILS, AND COMMUNITY PLANNING GROUPS. FUNDING FOR SERVICES IS PROVIDED PRINCIPALLY BY FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS. TNV HAS REACHED MORE THAN 50,000 CHILDREN, YOUTH, YOUNG ADULTS, PARENTS/CAREGIVERS, FAMILY MEMBERS, AND PROFESSIONALS, AND HAS TAKEN THE LEAD IN PROMOTING THE USE OF A COORDINATED SYSTEM OF CARE IN TN THAT INCLUDES FAMILY SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AS KEY COMPONENTS.
