Mission Statement

The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) is an explicitly pro-Black organization working to improve the lives of working class Black and Latino Texas families by building power through community organizing and civic engagement. We are a membership based organization of low-moderate income residents, majority Black and Latino, that conducts issue advocacy, lobbying efforts and electoral organizing on behalf of its membership.
