THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AN ENHANCED UNDERSTANDING OF THE MIDDLE EAST, WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE ARABIAN PENINSULA, IN THE UNITED STATES BY: (1) OPERATING AS A PUBLIC POLICY RESEARCH, DIALOGUE AND COMMUNICATION CENTER INTENDED TO BROADEN THE POLICY DEBATE UNDERSTANDING ISSUES (2) THE FACILITATION OF SCHOLARSHIP, ANALYSIS AND COMMUNICATION REGRADING DEVELOPMENTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON THE ARABIA PENNINSULA (3) ENGAGING SCHOLARS, CONDUCTING INDEPENDENT RESEARCH AND PREPARING PAPERS ON ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO BE PRESENTED AT CONFERENCES; WORKSHOPS AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS; AND (4) SPONSORING COLLABORATIVE EXCHANGES BETWEEN CITIZENS OF THE US AND THE MIDDLE EAST.
