THE OBJECT OF THIS COUNCIL SHALL BE TO PROVIDE THE AFFILIATED LOCAL UNIONS WITH PROPER MACHINERY FOR EFFECTIVELY CONDUCTING THE AFFAIRS AND BUSINESS OF THIS COUNCIL AND TO PROVIDE A WAY FOR CLOSER COOPERATION BETWEEN AFFILIATED LOCAL UNIONS AND SETTLING TRADE DISPUTES THROUGH CONSOLICATION AND CONCENTRATION OF THEIR EFFORTS.
