Mission Statement

We are establishing a K-8 model school for 1000 children a community center vegetable gardens and a farm in an economically disadvantaged area of Ethiopia. All structures are community-built with support from Engineers and Architects Without Borders. As part of our educational initiative: 1. We installed composting toilets to recycle waste into nutrient rich soil. 2. Established a Bamboo Propagation Nursery to train young farmers in cultivating this versatile crop for construction furniture and biofuel also serving as a food source. 3. Our Apple Orchards demonstrate planting techniques for this nutritious fruit not yet grown commercially in our region. Additionally we sponsor teacher training and launched the only Ethiopian STEM program for grades 1-12 in public school to enhance the educational experience.
