SINCE 1994, THE FAMILY CENTER (TFC) HAS BEEN SERVING NEW YORK CITY'S (NYC) MOST VULNERABLE FAMILIES WITH COMPREHENSIVE, INTERDISCIPLINARY SERVICES DESIGNED TO PROMOTE STABILITY AND WELL-BEING FOR ADULTS, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. WITH AN INITIAL FOCUS ON FAMILIES IMPACTED BY HIV, TFC HAS USED RIGOROUS EVALUATION TO DEVELOP AN ARRAY OF SERVICES AND PROGRAMS TO ADDRESS THE STRESSORS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY FAMILIES MADE VULNERABLE BY PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ILLNESS, POVERTY, TRAUMA, SUBSTANCE USE, AND OTHER BARRIERS.
