Mission Statement

The Hunger Project is working to create a world without hunger through women-centered, holistic development strategies that address the root causes of hunger and poverty. In 2024, it reached nearly 13 million people in over 10,000 communities throughout Africa, South Asia and Latin America. Adapted to meet local challenges and opportunities, all of its programs are built on three foundational pillars: 1) start with women; 2) mobilize communities for self-reliant action; and 3) engage local governments.
