LEHMAN COLLEGE ART GALLERY IS DEDICATED TO SERVING THE INTERESTS OF THE BRONX COMMUNITY AND THE GREATER NEW YORK AREA BY PROVIDING A DYNAMIC CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS AS WELL AS AN IMPORTANT CULTURAL RESOURCE FOR ITS DIVERSE AUDIENCE. THE GALLERY PRESENTS WORKS BY LEADING FIGURES IN CONTEMPORARY ART, PROMISING EMERGING ARTISTS, AND SIGNIFICANT THEME SHOWS. EDUCATION IS AN INTEGRAL COMPONENT OF EXHIBITION PROGRAMMING AND PROVIDES THE BASIS OF THE GALLERY'S OUTREACH-FROM YOUNG STUDENTS TO SENIOR CITIZENS.
