THE MARYLAND STATE BOYCHOIR, INC. (MSB) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1987 AND IS DEVOTED TO THE ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF MARYLAND BOYS. MSB'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR TALENTED BOYS FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS TO DEVELOP THEIR MUSICAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS THROUGH A RIGOROUS PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION AND CHORAL PERFORMANCES. MSB ALSO STRIVES TO SERVE THE BROADER COMMUNITY BY OFFERING FACILITIES FOR THE ARTS, CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, RELIGIOUS GROUPS (INCLUDING THE CONGREGATION OF ST. MATTHEW UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THE MARYLAND BOYCHOIR CENTER FOR THE ARTS), AND LOCAL RESIDENTS - PARTICULARLY THE MAYFIELD COMMUNITY.
