THE MIAMI DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (MDRA) HAS A MULTIFACETED APPROACH TO ITS MISSION. MDRA IS FOCUSING ON THE REVITALIZATION, BEAUTIFICATION, AND ECONOMIC GROWTH OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF MIAMI LOCATED ON HISTORIC ROUTE 66 WHILE ALSO PRESERVING AND PROMOTING THE HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE COLEMAN THEATRE AND MAIN STREET DISTRICT. THE PRESERVATION EFFORT IS COUPLED WITH A COMMITMENT TO CULTURAL ENRICHMENT THROUGH ARTS, HUMANITIES, EVENTS AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING.
