ORIGINALLY FOUNDED AS THE ANNENBERG RURAL CHALLENGE IN 1995, THE RURAL TRUST TODAY WORKS WITH SCHOOLS, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND COMMUNITY VITALITY IN RURAL PLACES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
