Mission Statement

In 2021, THRIVE ON! advanced its mission of empowering communities through programs that cultivated leadership and addressed systemic inequities. The Early Thriver Program engaged young leaders in impactful initiatives, including creating an economic literacy summer program with MyKingstonKids, exploring housing inequities with advocates, and producing the bi-weekly "Thinking in the Margins" podcast to discuss global systemic change. Participants also partnered with Empower Kingston to promote energy equity for marginalized communities. With support from the NoVo Foundation, THRIVE ON! developed the Kingston Food Sovereignty Report, outlining strategies to combat food insecurity. Although a housing project faced challenges, it provided critical lessons in data-driven decision-making and community engagement. These efforts showcased THRIVE ON!'s dedication to developing future leaders, fostering equity, and building resilient systems for sustainable change.
