PROGRAMMING IS LED BY NYS CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALISTS WHO, BECAUSE OF THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCE AND COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING, CAN OFFER EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, TEACH SKILLS, PROVIDE PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE, PROVIDE ADVOCACY SERVICES, MENTOR, HELP MOTIVATE AND CONNECT PEOPLE WITH RESOURCES, OPPORTUNITIES, AND ADDITIONAL SUPPORTS. OUR PEER SPECIALISTS PROMOTE RECOVERY; ENHANCE HOPE AND SOCIAL NETWORKING THROUGH ROLE MODELING AND ACTIVATION; AND SUPPLEMENT EXISTING TREATMENT WITH EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, AND AID IN SYSTEM NAVIGATION. SERVICES ARE DELIVERED IN A TRAUMA INFORMED MANNER THAT RECOGNIZES DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION.
