TO PROVIDE FOR FINANCIAL NEEDS NOT FEASIBLY FUNDED BY TAX DOLLARS. BY MAKING GRANTS AND/OR EMERGENCY LOANS, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO STUDENTS IN PROGRAMS WHICH REQUIRE LONG TERM STUDY AND IN PROGRAMS OF STUDY WHICH ARE TOO SHORT IN LENGTH TO QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID.THESE GRANTS AND EMERGENCY LOANS ENABLE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS SUCH AS THOSE GENERATED BY TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS, PERSONAL OR FAMILY ILLNESS AND LIVING EXPENSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF GOING TO SCHOOL.
