THE FUND'S MISSION IS TO TURN GENTLY WORN, LUXURY PRODUCTS SITTING IN WOMEN'S CLOSETS AROUND THE GLOBE, INTO FUNDING FOR OTHER PUBLIC CHARITIES. UNION & FIFTH WAS FOUNDED BY PAMELA TREFLER (PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR) AND CHRISTENA REINHARD (TREASURER AND DIRECTOR) AFTER THEY REALIZED THAT ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO DONATE THEIR DESIGNER CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES THAT THEY NO LONGER USE COULD RAISE SIGNIFICANT FUNDS TO BENEFIT ESTABLISHED PUBLIC CHARITIES. UNION & FIFTH WILL RAISE FUNDS BY SOLICITING DONATIONS OF GENTLY USED DESIGNER GOODS, SUCH AS CLOTHES, SHOES, HANDBAGS AND JEWELRY.
