Mission Statement

The organization was formed exclusively as an organization of tax cab drivers whose goal was to improve business conditions as a whole for the entire taxi cab industry.The purpose of the United Transportation Alliance was to study regulations, rules, policies, and issues relevant to the provisison of high-quality taxicab service in the City of Newark and the State of New Jersey while ensuring the economic viability of owning and driving taxicabs, and to make recommendations to the City of Newark and the State of New Jersey on these matters.
