THE UPPER MIDWEST COMMUNITY POLICING INSTITUTE (UMCPI) DESIGNS, DEVELOPS AND DELIVERS LOCAL AND NATIONAL INTER-ACTIVE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE INITIATIVES. THESE INITIATIVES PROVIDE TRAINING, COACHING, AND MENTORING IN AREAS SUCH AS DE-ESCALATION TACTICS FOR MILITARY VETERANS IN CRISIS, HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES, HUMAN TRAFFICKING TRAINING FOR STATE PROSECUTORS AND INVESTIGATORS, AND 21ST CENTURY PROBLEM SOLVING STRATEGIES. UMCPI ALSO PROVIDES CONSULTING SERVICES TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN THE AREAS OF EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP, COACHING, MENTORING, AND OPERATIONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENTS. UMCPI'S TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND TRAINING INITIATIVES ADDRESS ISSUES WITH CURRENT AND IMMEDIATE PUBLIC SAFETY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPACT.
