Virginia Association for Environmental Education VAEE advances environmental literacy in Virginia for all Virginians through the power of environmental education by promoting excellence fostering collaboration and inspiring community engagement During the 2023 year VAEE grew in capacity continuing to transition from all volunteer organization that provided a robust conference to an organization engaging in systems level change work with school divisions Our environmental certification program which was recently accredited had 59 candidates actively pursuing their certficate in environmental education The collaborative work we do with schools had 40 school divisions and environmental education partners engaged in developing systemic approaches to environmental education for children within their communities and schools
