Our programs and events promote arts awareness and showcase the countys arts community. WCAA was created in 2003 now has 268 members. Our membership includes both artists and art enthusiasts people who believe in the beneficial effects of the arts and support our projects. We are committed to developing a dynamic art-friendly atmosphere in the community one that enhances and enriches the lives of its citizens. The mission statement in our WCAA By-Laws reads The purpose of the Wayne County Arts Alliance shall be: to stimulate public interest and awareness of the creative arts; to engage local artists and artisans in events that benefit pubic educations about the arts; to promote excellence in the arts and encourage artists and artisans in the creative process; to promote and encourage the visual literary and performing arts in Wayne County.
