THE MISSION OF THE WIND SOLAR ALLIANCE (WSA) IS TO EDUCATE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF GREATER ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION, FOCUSING ON WIND ENERGY, THROUGH COMMUNICATION, RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. WSA FOCUSES ON EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT 1) THE NEED TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS TO AVOID CLIMATE CHANGE, 2) CONSERVATION OF ALL TYPES OF ENERGY, 3) THE USE OF WIND ENERGY (AS WELL AS OTHER FORMS OF CLEANER ENERGY) AS AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF ENERGY IN THE UNITED STATES AND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
