Mission Statement

The mission of the organization is to facilitate and fund research that will promote and improve efficiencies in the wood supply systems and improve business conditions in the forest products industry. This will be accomplished by: conducting and/or funding research that will identify the structure and performance of and qualify constraints on current wood supply systems; conducting research that will investigate new and improved methodologies which will enable more efficient and cost-effective wood supply operations in the forest products industry; transferring the results of research and investigation to Institute members and publishing key findings to benefit the entire forest products industry and communicating a general project summary for the benefit of the forest products industry through various sources, with the Forest Resources Association being the primary communicator.
