THE YORK COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION IS A NON-PROFIT PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATION OF ATTORNEYS AND JUDGES. IT EXISTS TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE LAWYERS, JUDGES AND PUBLIC OF YORK COUNTY. THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS MEMBERS HAVE DEDICATED THEMSELVES TO THE FOLLOWING GENERAL PURPOSES:*PROVIDING SERVICES AND BENEFITS TO MEMBER ATTORNEYS TO ENABLE THEIR SUCCESSFUL PRACTICE OF LAW; *PROMOTING A LEGAL AND JUDICIAL SYSTEM WHERE THE RIGHTS OF ALL PERSONS CAN BE ASSERTED, DEFINED AND PROTECTED; *RENDERING ASSISTANCE TO THE VARIOUS COURTS BEFORE WHICH WE PRACTICE, THEREBY HELPING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF JUSTICE; *DEVELOPING MUTUAL TRUST AND CONFIDENCE AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE BAR, BETWEEN THE BENCH AND THE BAR, AND BETWEEN THE BAR AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE; *EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON LEGAL MATTERS; *STRIVING FOR THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICAL CONDUCT; *ENSURING QUALITY CONTINUING LEGAL PROGRAMS FOR THE MEMBERS; *PROVIDING LEGAL REPRESENTATION OF THE INDIGENT.
